why are we still here? seems that by this point the human race would have blown itself up, started a couple more plagues, or, on the brighter side, figured out how to live in a less toxic manner. yet here we stagnate, in the metropolitan boom still, most people living out their meager lives in smog and pollution. i suppose it does help the immune system in its own way, but the mutations are not necessarily going to be positive in the long run. if we were to truly care about creating a lasting society, one that might have "wonders of the world" type status, would we really want to create a building that relies on electrical power to supply light and fresh air to the occupants? blegh. on the other hand, if we continue to build up rather than out, that would (hopefully) signify that our cities will become more close-knit and leave the wilderness for animals and our outdoor adventures.
cookies are yummy, carrots are great, you thought this would be a poem for a sec. sorry to disappoint. i'm not feeling as creative as i would like, and therefore frustrate myself more and more by watching wonderfully animated shorts and browsing art websites. it's a matter of time, i suppose. i'm dread the idea of not doing something worth remembering, yet i spend my days playing games and wasting the precious time that i have left to me. childhood passed me by in a rush. if only it was retrievable, possible to restart.
blooming wonders follow my eyes like the clouds chasing a breeze. unable to catch up, i'm left with a glimmer in my mind of what could have been, but will never come to fruit.
